It’s time to shake off winter, lace up your walking shoes and get walking. The benefits of walking have long been documented and have been shown to decreases your risk for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, stroke so that you can live a longer life with more vitality.


Getting involved in a walking club, group or walking with a friend can make walking much more interesting and social able.  By varying your walking routes and traveling to more scenic and interesting locations can make walking much more enjoyable and rewarding. Walking is a great way to get to know your neighbour or to get to know a new town or city in Ireland.  


Walking has so many health benefits both on a physical and psychological level so there are lots of reasons to get active.
